Safety and Insurance Information

Battle Axes, LLC is fully-insured. We do not disclose information about our insurance coverage for competitive reasons. A copy of our liability waiver, which must be signed by all guests before throwing or spectating, is available at our location.

What hours are you open?

Monday – Thursday: 2 pm – 9 pm

Friday – 2 pm – 11 pm

Saturday: 12 noon – 11 pm

Sunday: 12 noon – 9 pm

*Special times for groups of 31+ can be arranged outside of our normal business hours.

What kinds of shoes are allowed?

No open-toed shoes or heels permitted.  We don’t want to turn anyone away, so we have a limited number of shoes available to rent for $2/hour.

What do I wear?

Our facility has heat and air so wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.  Restrictive clothing may render some activities more difficult.

Do you have refreshments available?

We are proud to carry over 100 canned beers, ciders, cocktails, wines and hard seltzers, many of which are Kentucky Proud – plus sodas, bottled water, and pizzas, chicken fingers and fries and many other munchies such as mozzarella sticks, loaded cheese fries and warm pretzels with queso cheese. No outside food or drinks permitted.

What is the drinking policy?

If any member of the staff feels a guest is intoxicated, they will not be allowed to participate and no refund will be issued.

If a guest arrives intoxicated, they will not be admitted and no refund will be issued.

Do you allow outside food and drink?

We DO NOT allow any outside food or beverages.

May I cancel a reservation?

In the event you cancel less than 48 hours of reservation, your card on file will be charged 50% of the reservation total.

In the event of a walk-out or a no-show, your card on file will be charged for any/all unpaid players.

Reservations of 11 or more will be charged for the total number reserved even if less people arrive.  Similarly, parties will be held accountable to pay for their entire reservation; i.e. if 2 hours are reserved but players want to leave after 1, they will still be charged for 2.

 

Do you take walk-ins for Axe throwing?

Walk-ins are welcome for groups of up to 9 players.  When necessary, walk-in groups will be placed with other walk-in groups.

  • 25 minute sessions, starting promptly on the hour and half hour

  • Groups of 2 or more are strongly encouraged to reserve a private pit online at least 48 hours in advance

What if I have a large group?

Groups of 30 or less for axe throwing may make their reservation online.  For groups larger than 30, contact us using our email at [email protected]

May I reserve a private pit online?

YES!  And it is strongly encouraged that you do so. 

How much play time do I get?

2-10 players may book a pit for 1-3 hours.  It is recommended that groups of 8 or more players book no less than 2 hours of play to ensure that each receives ample throwing time.  The first 5-10 minutes of every session will be allotted toward safety training and practice.  The last 5 minutes of every session will be dedicated to pit turnover.

Are spectators allowed?

Yes

Can anyone throw an axe?

We have no age restrictions. Throwers under the age of 18 must have a guardian present. We have no restrictions regarding pregnant women throwing axes.  Please use your own judgement.
